We all have one don’t we? A box, a place, a file that we all store interesting stuff, useful articles, that piece of information we just have to look into one day? I can’t be the only one, surely? Every month I will share some of the things that I shove into my toolbox, it could be a useful blog post, a book I’ve read, a website or article…
So here are my favourites this month:
- A Blog: from fellow Writers Abroad member, Vanessa Couchman in support of the platform of Self Publishing with lots of tips for ensuring quality. Vanessa is a very accomplished traditional turned Indie author with lots of experience
- A Book: Techniques of the Selling Writer by Dwight V Swain – it’s an old one but contains plenty of practical sense, and doesn’t preach. I haven’t put a link as it’s a bit difficult to track down but I got my copy from Abebooks
- An App: The Later App allows you to schedule posts to Instagram, which has helped my productivity no end. I have the free plan for Instagram posts as I can schedule on Facebook. It’s very simple to use and has the added option of remember hashtag captions so saving more time!
- A Writer to Follow: if you are creating a presence on social media, it’s important to make connections and keep in touch. Writing can be a lonely game. The lovely Ari Meghlen is very active and productive on Instagram
Thanks for sharing my post!
